Sometimes you just want to simply knit and not have to worry about when to change your stitch or what comes next in the pattern. This is an indulgent type of knit, where you set the pace and design the length and the color repeat pattern. It is very customizable and a great project for beginners learning to do color work and stripe! The end result is a super cozy, rustic and stylish “shawlette” that can easily be made while enjoying a warm winter’s night sitting by the fireplace with a cup of tea and the snow falling outside.

In this pattern you will be increasing the amount of stitches on every row with a KFB increase, changing colors (if desired), knitting, purling, and doing both garter stitches and stockinette. There is no row counting. You decide when to change to the next stitch pattern and color!

This is a great beginner pattern for those who know how to knit, purl and are looking to start doing color changes and increases. I have included beginner’s notes in the pattern.
