Byron
Byrons classic and timeless top-down raglan construction creates a perfect canvas for exploring tone and texture. The easy to work broken seed stitch pattern forms a perfect tweedy base and is worked in two colors. Swapping those colors will lead to a completely different effect, so engage your inner artist and dream up your perfect combination of background and slip stitch colorwork patterning.
CONSTRUCTION
Byron is worked seamlessly from the top down. The upper yoke is worked flat, until the final front neck cast-on. When the neck shaping is completed, the yoke is worked in the round to the underarms, where the body and sleeves are separated. The sleeve stitches are placed on hold, and the body is worked in the round to the lower edge. Then the sleeves are worked in the round until the lower edge.
Stitches for the neckline ribbing are picked up, and the ribbing is worked in the round.
