Byron’s Snoodana for Greyhounds
~~~~~~~~~
12 Sep 2023
Also take a look at Ginnie’s Snoodana, a version for knitters that prefer to work ONLY on straight needles has been released with the bandana section interchangeable with Byron’s.
~~~~~~~~~
A fun idea, almost a combination of my Ginnie’s Winter Bandana and Gear 4 Greys Simple Snood but a totally new pattern.
You will start work on straight needles commencing at the lowest tip of the bandana and increasing toward the ears. Once reaching a certain point you will swap over to a circular needle, cast on additional stitches, join in the round and then continue with ribbing.
Written as one size fit most (greyhounds and similar sized sighthounds) but easily adjustable for dogs of other sizes and breed.
Yarn choices can vary so much but the pattern is written for DK though you may wish to use two strands of sockweight yarn.
- Use a solid colour.
- Use one colour for bandana and another for the ribbing.
- Start with one end of a gradient and either continue the whole project in the same order or swap to the other end of the gradient to complete the ribbing.
Be adventurous.
Yarn
75 metres used in sample shown. Please check my other projects that will have variations noted.
