Bythos a Lace Cowl
Bythos is one of the Ichthyocentaurs. He is a god of sea-depths. He along with his his brother Aphros were called the Ichthyocentaurs. Aphros and Bythos were present at the birth of Aphrodite. They pulled in the shell she rose from the ocean.
This cowl was inspired by the pattern drooping Elm Leaf, page 217 Treasury of Knitting Patterns Barbara walker. The cowls above are done in bold colors. The blue cowl is extra-long in dk weight. The Orange one is smaller and wider in fingering weight, the border was done twice at the beginning and at the end. This pattern can be modified in many ways, be creative and do a different edge border at the beginning and at the end, make it wider, skip it.
Here you have a cowl in my series of Men lace attire. It is easily a unisex item and a timeless piece. Embrace the divine spark within you and wear it with pride.
