For this pattern you must have knowledge of:

Corner to Corner crochet (There are easy videos on YouTube and I caught on within 10 minutes)

Stitches include chain, slip stitch, double crochet and knowledge of decrease

Know how to change colors

The main color of headwrap used maybe half a skein of yarn

Pattern is written in the format to tell you how many color squares in each row. (Example: 4 Black, 3 Yellow, 2 Black)

Hook size 4.25 is what I used (There wasn’t an option in the drop down box for that size)
