PATTERN NOTES
Blanket is worked in the basic Tunisian stitch, Tunisian simple stitch, which forms an even grid and has a tendency to curl.
Each row of Tunisian crochet consists of 2 parts: a forward pass (FP) where loops are worked onto the hook and a return pass (RP) where loops are worked off the hook.
Always skip the first vertical bar when working the forward pass. Insert the hook into the 2nd vertical bar at the begin-ning of the row.
Insert hook in both loops of the last stitch of the forward pass unless otherwise stated.
In rows 2–99, increase stitches are worked at each edge in each forward pass.
Decreases begin in row 100 and are made at each edge in each return pass.
Weave in loose ends as work progresses.
Carry rainbow color not in use along wrong side until next needed. Cut each color when its section is complete. Winter white can be carried without cutting until its last row is completed. Carried yarn will be covered in Border round 1.
In increase rows, change color as follows: Work return pass until 2 loops remain on hook, drop current color, yarn over with new color and draw through last 2 loops.
In decrease rows, change color as follows: Work return pass until 3 loops remain on hook, drop current color, yarn over with new color and draw through last 3 loops.
Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.
