Cabbage Rose Blanket
A deceptively simple pattern with spectacular results!
Fabric and yarn…..two of my favorite things. Put them together and you’ve really got something special. Soft, minky fabric, pom pom trim, and roses are just the thing for a new baby or even yourself. Put it together with a sewing machine or hand stitch it, as I have. Either way, you can’t go wrong.
The flowers, leaves and pom pom trim are really simple and give a great 3 D effect. Even so, I’ve given you a video link for the pom pom trim.
Written instructions are in American and UK terms.
I’ve used worsted weight yarn for this pattern, but you could use any weight yarn and hook size you like.
You will need 1620 total yards (1482m) in worsted weight yarn.
Great beginner project and equally fun for the more experienced crocheter.
Skill level: beginner or better. I’m always available to help you along the way!
The gauge is 4 stitches to one inch. You need a total of 1640 yards or yarn and one yard of fabric.
