Cabeled Socks MKAL
This ia a toe up magic loop sock pattern with a cabled pattern down the top of the sock. This pattern calls for using the German short row method for both the toe box and the turning of the heel.
The short rows of the heel are worked in a forked fashion to create a roomier and more comfortable heel. The pattern also uses the provisional cast on technique so that no grafting is necessary. The cuff has a simple 1x1 rib stitch. The toe and sole of the sock are worked in plain stockinet stitch for comfort. The back of the leg of the sock is worked in a simple k2, p stitch pattern to provide a relaxed yet snug fit to the leg to prevent overly slouchy socks.
This pattern would work well with a gradient colored yarn as well as with solid colors. These socks will work best with a wool or wool blend yarn due to the elasticity of wool fibers.
