This is a knitting pattern for a pair of cable arm warmers, using 4mm double-pointed needles, a 4mm cable needle and 200-220m DK yarn. The cabling makes them extra thick and warm, and means they can be scrunched up, concertina-fashion, at the wrists.

Followed exactly, the pattern makes arm warmers that are 32cm / 12.5inches long and 20cm / 8inches around the hand, but it’s easy to adapt for different sizes by increasing or decreasing the number of plain stitches between cables and the number of rows worked.
