This is a pattern for cozy, thumbless mittens-on-a-string for baby! Included is a cute little cable, i-cord and button detail. Sized for baby age 0-12 months, these mittens are sure to keep your little ones fingers warm and toasty. This is a great project for an advanced beginner knitter.

These mittens are knit in the round from the cuff up and inside out. They can be knit using any worsted weight yarn but 100% wool is recommended for warmth. The gauge is 6 stitches and 8 rows per inch in stocking stitch. Skills required for this pattern are:

  • Knitting and Purling in the round
  • Basic Cable
  • Increasing
  • Decreasing
  • Three needle bind-off
