This is a pattern for a snug fit Cable Button Beanie.
I had designed this beanie for an adult, but because of the stretch of the pattern, it also fits a child. (and it does look really cute on a child!)

I am a tight knitter, so to get the same gauge as me, you might want to go down in needle size (keep that in mind).
