Here is a nice, thick unisex hat that gains interest from cabled chevrons. To knit it, you will need one 16” circular needle in size 9, one 16” circular needle in size 10.5, one set of double pointed needles, also in size 10.5, and a cable needle or sharp twig to cable with. Oh, and some chunky yarn, about 100 yards.
