Cable Collar Cardigan #163
This cardigan is worked from the bottom up in pieces, then sewn together. The cable panels in this cardigan are worked at the same time as the fronts, with the cables crossed on wrong side rows; the panels are then folded over to the right side. Once the fronts are completed, the cable panels are worked separately to meet at the center back neck, where they are joined using 3-Needle Bind-Off. The sleeve cuffs begin with a Provisional Cast-On and are worked sideways, then the ends are joined using 3-Needle Bind Off. The cuffs are sewn to the sleeve. The right front has buttons hidden on the wrong side that button through the cable crosses of the left front – no buttons or buttonholes will show if you wear the cardigan open. Or if you prefer, use use a belt or favorite pin to keep the fronts closed.
The cable pattern is presented in written format only.
