Knit top down, in the round and seamless, this pattern is designed to fit dogs who can fit in a XS-LG dog sweater or shirt that you’d buy from Chewy or a similar retailer. View a size chart and additional notes on my website.

Dogs come in all different shapes and sizes, so make sure you try the sweater on your dog if you can as you go! Many of my testers adjust leg hole position and size (with some of them casting on additional stitches and adding decreases in later rows to adjust for the increases).

Some of my testers also added length before getting to the short rows and/or added additional length to the collar.

It’s a great scrappy project and uses approximately one skein of sport or DK weight yarn, but you may need more or less depending on modifications made, especially to the large size.
