This pocket shawl pattern has a beautiful cable edge, the shawl is worked by creating the width and continuing your rows until you reach your desired length. The pattern is suitable for confident beginners through to experienced crocheters.

When worked at the provided gauge and row count your shawl will measure 23″ width and 60″ length. You are welcome to reduce or increase your width by removing or adding stitches in the centre of the rows the only fixed stitches are the 8 at the start and end of the row, if you would like your shawl a different length you can continue working rows to your desired length always finish on a repeat of row 3 before working rows 106 & 107.
The pattern is worked using Aran/10ply yarn – 640g/1280m with a 6mm hook
If you would like to work your cables in a different colour you will need approximately 1080m of main colour and 200m of cable colour.
Stitches used are:
Sc = single crochet
Dc = double crochet
Fdc = foundation double crochet
Bptc = back post treble crochet
Fptc = front post treble crochet
Slst = slip stitch
The cables are created with fptc and bptc with picture guides for these included at the bottom of the pattern
