I’ve designed a Christmas Stocking using this cable knit heart motif which I love.

If you’re new to cable knitting, please don’t be put off. It is quite straightforward to do, once you get going and most satisfying to see the finished results. I’m very pleased with how it’s turned out and I think it’ll look great as part of anyones Christmas decorations.

Previously it was released as a knit-a-long so there are youtube videos which I created to help knitters new to cable knitting. You can see the videos using a link that is in the pdf.

Some people took part in the knit-a-long who had never tried cable knitting before and enjoyed it as an introduction to the technique.

The pattern is written out line by line. I have not included any charts for this knit.

4 & 5mm needles & cable needle
3.5cm pom pom maker
approx 30cm ribbon for hanging
