Cable Knit Kitty
This kitty features a simple cable knit motif from nose to tail. The head and body are shaped in the round using a series of short rows. The cable motif is comprised of basic twists and a braid. If you can turn a heel to knit a sock, you can make this kitty.
You will need to be familiar with the following techniques:
Knit-in-the-Round, Cast on, Bind off, Knit, Purl, Knit Front and Back (Kfb), Knit Two Together (K2tog), Purl Two Together (P2tog), Wrap and Turn, Cable Knitting
Supplies:
Four DPNs, 60-70 yarns of yarn, cable needle, batting, tapestry needle for assembly, safety eyes, short length of embroidery thread or yarn for the nose, stitch marker. (Buttons or embroidery can be used in place of safety eyes.)
