The design was inspired by the “shroud” type of rigging that holds up the masts of an old wooden ship. This will require a very basic cabling technique to achieve the image of the ropes, so it’s a great first cabling project. Instead of knitting back and forth width-wise, this pattern works along the entire length of the scarf.
