This pattern combines two techniques—overlay mosaic crochet and knitted cable stitches. You must be familiar with both techniques to work the pattern. It contains written directions for completing your project.

The pattern was designed for a scarf, but may be adapted for afghans, pillow covers, table runners, bed runners, etc. The sample was made with sock weight (#1) yarn, #4 (3.5 mm) knitting needles, and a D (3.25 mm) crochet hook. It measures about 6 inches wide and can be made to any length.

I’m offering the pattern free, hoping to inspire other designers to combine mosaic crochet and knitted cable stitches. It’s a lot of fun.

I hope you enjoy working with the pattern as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Happy crocheting!
Elizabeth
