Cable Neckwarmer - If you’re new to knitting cable, this may be a good ‘beginner’s’ scarf. The two principal techniques of cable knitting are used: ‘twisting’ cables where one cable crosses the other and ‘travelling’ cables where a cable moves to the right/left one stitch at a time to form a diagonal line.

It has been designed so there is only a 16 row repeat: within this repeat, the border cables twist every four rows (four twists for every oval). There is also a moss stitch border.

1 100g ball of Stylecraft Life DK (75% acrylic, 25% wool, 298 m/ 326 yrds per 100g)
A pair of 4 mm (UK 8, US 6) knitting needles
A 4 mm cable needle
A tapestry needle
3 15 mm buttons
