I was looking for something to wear that would not be bulky, but would keep me warm. Something that looked good and of course had cables. Researched different cable designs and found two that to me were compatible.

Wasn’t sure about what shape I wanted, I knew I wanted the cables to be like a “vest” but I wanted more than that. So I decided to go with the idea of “wings” but I didn’t want to overburden with too many cables, so used a texture design instead and then finished it off with a ribbed edging.

This can be made with a heavier weight yarn and comparable needles, but the finished dimensions will be larger. It can also be made larger by adding more rows to the wings before the shaping. I don’t know the yarn requirements for that though. None of the kind folks test knitting chose that option.

It can also be made in two different colors.
