I love the texture created by cables. I think it adds so much more interest to the item. This cowl being in 3 separate cabled strips which are then braided together, adds even more texture. I used a beautiful blue homestyle yarn to knit it up with to add a more rustic look, but it would look very classy in a standard bulky yarn.
