I have always found it a shame that once
boot weather starts, pretty handknit socks
are sadly hidden until the next sock-showing
season. Boot toppers are my answer to this
problem. Let the boots hide the store-bought
socks and allow the lushness of cables and
frilly edges peek out where they can be
enjoyed. Wrists a tad chilly? These can also
be slipped over the hands to peek out from
under coat sleeves. Add a Felted Leaf Brooch
(page 23) for added flair.
