Cabled Messy Bun Hat worked in the round.
One size with adjustments for a reduced hat height.
Hair elastic used in the pattern to prevent stretching in the bun area for a more secure fit. 2” in diameter elastic recommended.
I used the Goody “ouchless” elastics that come in many colors.
Worsted weight yarn used. Pattern works up quickly for instant gratification and feeling of accomplishment.
Made hat as a special order item for a customer. She wanted the hat to match her scarf that she had bought at a craft fair.
Gauge: 10 rows = 1 1/2 inches; 10 stitches = 1 1/2 inches
Used 1.5 ounces of yarn from a 4 ounce skein from my stash.
