With fall here and winter nearing, it’s time to whip up some warm hats for the loved ones in your life. This hat works as an outdoor winter cap, but it also serves as a beanie for those fighting cancer who need head protection as they lose their hair.
You’ll work this hat from the brim up. The brim is worked in rows in BLO, then joined with a ss seam. The rest of the hat is worked in rounds with cables and decreases leading to a close fit. For those of you still new to cabling, this pattern is a good way to practice, as it only uses front post stitches, both double and treble. The stitches give the hat a decent amount of stretch so it fits closely to the head without feeling too tight.
If you would like to purchase the entire 2017 Cables for Cancer package, you can do so HERE.
