These mittens have a cabled cuff that resembles a braid. The cuff is knit flat, and then seamed. Next pick up stitches along the edge of the cuff, and knit the hand of the mitten in a different color of yarn, if you would prefer. The thumbs are on the side of the hands, which makes the mittens reversible and comfortable to wear.
