Cabled Felt Cloche
From the Knit Picks Website:
Felted cloche features asymmetrical brim and cabling on the crown and brim edge. Hat is knit oversized on large needles and felted afterwards to fit. First the fold-up brim is worked in rounds from top down with short rows to create asymmetrical shaping. After fold, bowl-shaped crown is continued upwards in reverse stockinette stitch, alternating with four vertical cables. Cable band edging is knitted separately and joined to brim. Felted flower is worked separately and sewn to cloche. Directions include charted and written instructions, and how to felt and shape cloche. This pattern uses lots of techniques, but mistakes won’t show after felting!
