This is a go to sweater pattern if you want a classic top down design with just a few cable details. It has a crew neck, at hip length, and uses 3/8 inch buttons.

The sizes listed here are finished bust size. The sweaters shown were knitted with four inches of ease.

The cables in this pattern can be knitted as written whether left handed or right handed, because they are completely symmetrical. This pattern has been test knitted both ways. The pattern is written so that there are buttonholes at both sides. Pick which side you want the buttons on when you sew them on.
