The Cabled Peaks Hat starts with widely spaced cables with seed stitch in between that lean into each other, then twist their way to the crown. The design is reminiscent of the peak of Gothic windows.

Materials:
Worsted weight yarn (I used Caron Simply Soft (100% acrylic, 315 yards) in Country Blue)
Size 6 (4mm) circular needles or double pointed needles
Size 7 (4.5mm) circular needles
Size 7 (4.5mm) double pointed needles (or use the magic loop method)
Stitch marker

One skein of Caron Simply Soft was enough to make this hat and the coordinating cowl.
