This pattern is provided by Gypsy Wools in Boulder, Colorado for the Yarn Along the Rockes’ 2016 yarn crawl.
Construction Notes
Written for a bulky yarn, but you can knit with smaller yarn and needles, up to a chunky weight. You will have to do some measuring, planning and swatching, but this is a large rectangle and can be tailored to any size you want.
Finished Measurements:
Rectangle Unblocked and Before Seaming: 40”
x 20”
The pattern notes describe how to easily change this size for different size pillow forms
Gauge:
14 sts / 20 rows = 10 cm / 4” on US#10 / 6mm needle
Yarn:
Bulky Weight: 426 m/ 465 yds. ; 3 skeins, 600 g/21 oz.

- 2 Circular Needles: US#10/6 mm / 6.5 mm; length: 24” / 60 cm circulars (hold both together for double needle cast;

- One pillow form, approx. 20” square or to fit the finished dimensions of wrapper; may be covered with fabric to match or compliment your yarn color
- 3 1.5 - 2” fun buttons
Abbreviations:
CO = Cast On
K = Knit
P = Purl
(RS) = Right Side
(WS) = Wrong Side
PM = Place Marker
SM = Slip Marker
BO = Bind Off
LT = Left Twist
RT = Right Twist
TBL = Through Back Loop
X = number of times to repeat a stitch sequence: eg., repeat * to * 4X or 4 times; x also indicates number of repeats for pattern sections
