This cosy poncho is oversized yet feels snuggly as it has side button fastenings.

Both sides are knitted flat in a repeating cable pattern. The front section has neck shaping and two buttonholes. The neck stitches are then picked up from both sides and knitted in the round (or can be knitted flat and joined after).

The only finishing required is joining the shoulder
seams and sewing the buttons on
