Cabled slip stitch socks
This pattern makes a pair of slip stitch crochet socks with a cable pattern on both sides of the leg. The slip stitch technique makes them very stretchy and gives them a perfect fit. In this pattern the different steps to construct the sock and the cables are described. The cables are created with short-rows. The technique is explained in text and step-by-step photos.
Skills needed: slip stitch crocheting in back loop only and front loop only. You should also be experienced with inverse stitches, which I don’t explain in the pattern.
I am using David Burchall’s terminology for slip stitch crochet.
Size is adjustable both up and down.
Note! The hook size 3,5 mm is for “loose crocheters”! If you are not a “loose crocheter” when it comes to slip stitch crochet, you may have better use of a larger hook (5 mm).
