Stay Comfortably Warm
The Cabled Twisted Rib Throw is a quick knit with large needles (9 mm) and 100% Bulky Romney wool from Disdero Ranch. Light as a feather and reversible, it can be used as an extra layer on a bed or displayed on a favourite couch or armchair, ready and waiting to keep you comfortably warm when needed.

This throw is now available as a kit. For more information on the kit and Disdero Ranch, click here.

Materials
9 mm circular needle, cable hook, crochet hook, tapestry needle, felting needle, one removable marker, three sets of stitch markers (9 in total). Oh, and lots of delicious bulky wool, of course.

Tutorials
This pattern includes tutorials (photo, written, and video links) on the crochet steek, needle felting the steek, and creating a felted join to introduce knitters interested in expanding their techniques when working with wool. However, the same throw can be knit without incorporating these techniques by following the stitch pattern as written and working the project flat (back and forth) instead of in the round.

The sample is shown in cream. Dark brown, medium brown, light brown, and grey are also available in this wool.

Finished size is 36” x 56”

Necessary skills required: casting on and off, knitting in the round, knitting and purling through the back loop, cabling, and crochet (single crochet stitch only).
