This pattern is included in the ebook, Crocheted Circular Cable Technique, which shows how to crochet a cable whose ends are grafted together so it has no visible beginning or end. The wrist warmer consists of a cable panel which can be made to any length, which is grafted end to end using what I call the Z-stitch to create a tube. The pattern can be easily modified to make a headband as well. A wrist warmer only utilizes about 1/2 oz. of yarn, and it can be made with any leftover worsted weight yarn. In addition to yarn and hook, a yarn needle is needed for grafting.
