WHY:
I wanted an eyeglasses case like this, but didn’t immediately find a free pattern I liked. As I was too cheap to buy one for such a minor project, I made my own.

HOW:
I like it, and I enjoyed the process of creating the pattern and noting it as a I knit. I did have to start over twice, which I almost never do with a commercial pattern, but that’s ok.

Although I knit this case in the round using the Magic Loop method, any style of knitting in the round, including dpns, would be just as successful.

WITH:
My favorite needles at the moment are Knit Picks Interchangable Wood Needles. I used US size 4 for this project, but a simple change in needle size would be the easiest way to change the finished size of the case.
