Cables & Ribs, the Scarf
Have you wanted to knit a scarf with cables, but hate ending up with a “wrong” side to it? Then, try this pattern. The front of this scarf has two plaited cables running the length of the scarf sandwiched in between ribbings. The back side of the scarf shows only the ribbing. Thus, you will be the owner of a scarf with no “wrong” side. (The trick lies in how you maneuver the cable needles.)
Sample measurements:
Scarf width: 5.25 inches (13 cm)
Scarf length: 12.5 feet (3.75 m)
Note that your measurements may vary depending on where you choose to end the scarf.
Materials needed:
Size 9 needles (5.5 mm)
2 Cable needles
As with all my patterns, you will receive a pdf document providing step-by-step instructions on how to make the scarf. For those who are visually oriented (as I am!), I also provide a knitting chart explaining how to knit the repeating pattern.
