I have been thinking about doing a hat filled with cables for the longest time. It was going to happen sooner or later. Whether this is sooner or later will depend on how many patterns come after this one. I tend to think this is later considering how long this has been running in my mind. This would be interesting in a self striping yarn like a Sugar Wheel. A cake with big blocks of color. It would also work well with a gradient yarn. This would look good in almost any yarn.
