Directions are provided in both written and chart form. I encourage you to use the charts – they show you what the pattern
is supposed to look like. I also find it easier to keep my place with charts, and since you can see where the stitches are
supposed to be in relation to each other, they help you learn to “read” your knitting, making mistakes easier to spot as they
happen.

This pattern is adaptable for smaller or larger sizes – you could take out or add a repeat (repeats are a multiple of 18
stitches), work with thicker or thinner yarn, or smaller or larger needles.
