This collar is made from leftover yarn. You can use any combination yarn that you have left over for this project (and you can make it as wide as you like). It uses two different types of yarn held together for the most part; for the last three inches, it uses a single-strand yarn.

It is nice if one yarn is a lot different in texture from the other, so you can see the difference where the buttons are sewn on. This is an ideal project for beginners, quick to make and it’s wonderful as a gift for someone. This pattern is also available in the Serbian language.
