Cachina Scarf and Cowl
Explore some simple stitches to create a beautiful, functional scarf and cowl. The same stitches in the scarf are worked with more repeats to make a wonderfully generous cowl. Each item has its own detailed pattern. Worked in Tunisian crochet, both items have weight and texture. I wanted to design something that used some lovely, chunky Aran yarn, that was both beautiful and functional, and that used some of my favourite Tunisian stitches: Honeycomb stitch, Bobble stitch and Star stitch. I have included pictures of working the Star stitch to go along with the detailed instructions, and have also posted a short tutorial on my Youtube channel. I used a variegated aran yarn, Stylecraft Amor, for the scarf, and a plain aran yarn, King Cole Fashion Aran, for the cowl. The size of each item can be easily changed - make more repeats, or add additional rows (but you would need more yarn).
