Cachuma Shawl
Whip up this easy but engaging slipped stitch shawl to grace your shoulders while wearing jeans, linen dress, or elegant silk pants.
Reed mixed with the new Shibui Tweed Silk Cloud is just divine…. Amazing halo, softness, and warmth. Linen and mohair…what could be better!
This shawl is knit from one corner, expanding on one side to the finished edge. A knit as you go i-cord edging adds a polished look.
Select the Shibui Knits Reed and Silk Cloud oh so luxurious mohair/silk combined with linen, for the softest ever version. This is knit with a gauge of 20 stitches/30 Rows to 4” in stockinette stitch with a size 5 circular needle. One strand Reed is held together with one Strand Tweed Silk Cloud / Silk Cloud to result in a lofty and warm fabric. Luxury in each row.
Measurement will be approximately: Tip to tip: 23” Wingspan: 63”

2 skeins Shibui TWEED SILK CLOUD in Color A
1 skein of Shibui SILK CLOUD in color B

CHOICES: You have two gauge choices in one pattern!
Select a fingering yarn (at least 425 yards for the main color and 220 yards for secondary color using a size 3 circular needle with a gauge of 24 stitches/34 Rows to 4”.
Tip to tip: 53” Wingspan: 17”
Gauge not critical but could change your yarn amount. More important to achieve a beautiful drape of your fabric. Always plan for extra yarn if in doubt with your gauge. With this pattern you can always continue knitting and make larger to use all your yarn.
