Cacti and Wildflowers Scarf
This is the third pattern in the Souvenir Skeins collection - inspired by the places we visit, and designed for those special skeins that make their way home with us. Each pattern will use just one or two skeins to make the perfect stash buster for all your most treasured yarns!
Pattern Inspiration:
This pattern was inspired by my visit to Southeastern Texas in early March. There was such a wide variety of beautiful wildflowers everywhere you looked! I have always loved cacti, so seeing the prickly pears growing wild was really cool! This pattern was inspired by the shapes and colors of these amazing plants.
Basic Information:
Pattern is written in US crochet terms.
Yarn: Fingering/sock weight (weight 1), approximately 400 yards. I used Bashful Armadillo Fibers fingering weight for my sample, which contained 437 yards/100g.
Hook: 4 mm, or size needed to meet gauge.
Finished size: About 6.5” wide and 63” long (after blocking)
Gauge: Before blocking - Rows 1-10 (in pattern) equal approximately 4” tall, and about 5.5” wide. Row gauge is more critical than stitch gauge for this design.
