Cactus Cushion and Pen Pot
Cheer up your office space with a fun knitted Cactus Cushion and Pen Pot. Recycle empty jam jars to make the pot, and you could also use it as storage for your hooks and needles.
Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the cushion and pen pot are knitted in acrylic chunky yarns in the round in seed stitch. The cushion flower is a pompom made from i-cord worked on two DPNs.
NEEDLES
A 5.5mm circular knitting needle for magic loop, or a set of DPNs (US 9)
RECOMMENDED YARN
Cygnet Chunky in green and pink shades; bulky weight/12 ply; 100% acrylic; three 100g/156m skeins
NOTIONS
A darning or tapestry needle for seaming, Toy filling and a Stitch marker
SIZES
One size only - pen pot to cover a jam jar 13cm tall x 7cm diameter, and cushion 37cm tall x 20cm wide
TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, decreases, and seaming to finish.
