This pattern for several different cactus, is worked in stockinette stitch, garter stitch, I cord stitch, French knots, and latch hook technique. The cacti are knitted in several different shades of heavy weight green wool yarn on various size needles. size 10 ½ circular needles. Smaller pads can be made following the same pattern on size 7 needles. The fillers are worked in 75 yards of white heavy weight yarn. The prickly pear cactus pattern uses approximately 100 yards of green yarn. Sport weight yarn on size 1 needles are used for the burro’s tail cactus.
I like these cause I can’t KILL them, and they don’t leave prickers in my fingers!
