cactus pin cushion
a pin cushion in the shape of a cactus. the bean bag base allows it to either be free standing or sit inside a tiny plant pot.
alternating front and back post stitches gives the classic ribbed look of a cactus.
I used fairly chunky yarn and a 4.5mm hook but this is flexible and is explained more in the actual pattern. gauge doesn’t really matter but you should be trying to create fairly tight stitches so that the piece will be sturdy and stand up on it’s own.
only a small amount of yarn is needed.
