Cactus Ragdoll
Notes:
This would be considered an intermediate skill level pattern. It is made entirely by single crochet, but you must have a clear understanding of single crochet increase/decrease as well as color work/tapestry crochet!
Materials:
You will need yarn, scissors, tapestry needle, safety eyes/ felt, 3.00 mm crochet hook, embroidery floss, and poly-fill for stuffing.
Let’s talk yarn!
You will need #4 worsted weight yarn for this project. I used 30 yards of Mainstay Basic yarn in the color green for the cactus. I used 20 yards of I LOVE THIS YARN in the color burnt orange for the pot. I used a scrap amount of Lion Brand’s Mandala Ombre for the flower. I used a scrap amount of pink embroidery floss for the little x shaped spikes!
Final Measurement:
Your finished cactus plushie will measure 6 inches tall.
Gauge:
Gauge is not extremely important for this pattern. You just want your stitches to be tight enough that poly-fill won’t poke out!
Other Important Information:
This cactus is made in the ragdoll style. This means you will be making two different panels and then single crocheting them together to create your finished project!
Abbreviations:
-Ch: chain
-Sl st: slip stitch
-Sc: single crochet
-Inc: increase
-Dec: decrease
-Dc: double crochet
