These sweet socks are knit from the cuff down with a heel flap and gusset, and a standard toe. They feature a faux cable and eyelet rib design, making them nice and stretchy.

This is an AAA sock pattern:
Any yarn can be used
Any gauge will work
Any foot will fit

AAA sock patterns are a project of mine to write patterns for socks that fit, even if we change up the yarn or needles we are using and get a different gauge. Maybe we want to make fingering weight socks for our child, but DK weight socks for ourselves. My thought is that one pattern should be able to cover both of those situations.

The pattern is written in 5 sizes. The sizing chart is based on gauge from 5 stitches per inch to 9 stitches per inch or 1 to 6 stitches per cm. So they can be knit in light fingering to DK weight yarn. Choose your favorite yarn and needle combination for socks, and use your gauge to determine which size will best fit your foot. Find your gauge in the left column and follow it across that row for the finished sock circumference of each size. Ideally the sock would be 10% smaller than your actual foot circumference.

Use the needle size that gives you a fabric you like with the yarn you are using. For fingering weight yarn it’s common to use between 2.0 mm (US 0) to 2.75mm (US 2), for DK weight 2.75mm (US 2) to 3.25mm (US 3)
