Pattern comes with instructions for both lengths of cowl. The cowl is knitted in the round, from the bottom up.

You will need two cable needles for the cables.

Pattern also comes with a tutorial for the recommended half-stretchy bind off.

For gauge purposes, 10cm = 4”. Ie. inches, the gauge is 14 sts x 22 rows in 4”.

Sizing comes in two casual sizes, XS/S and M/L:
X-Small/Small will fit petite—34” bust, Medium/Large fits 36—42” bust
