Cadenza
This piece made me think of notes on a staff from the very beginning. Knit in luxurious Malabrigo Silky Merino, it flows off the needles. But still, I didn’t think “notes” would be a very good pattern name. A Cadenza is a musical term referring to a solo, sometimes improvised, appearing near the end of a musical piece. When I came upon this term, it felt like it fit immediately. The project itself echoes it’s name in that there is a flourish, a solo, a cadenza that must be performed towards the end. With three optional endings, you can create your own cadenza.
