I am inspired by the traditional Cornish Guernsey jumpers worn by the fisherman around the Cornish coast. Depending on where they worked was shown through the stitch pattern used in their knitwear. The pattern in this cardigan is called The Lizard Lattice. One of the last remaining fishing villages on the Lizard is Cadgwith Cove. It is a beautiful village that tumbles into the sea between high cliffs. The cardigan is knitted top down in one piece with sleeves divided off and knitted in the round, it is short in the body but with instructions to length to suit the wearer. Finished off with optional buttons and an i-cord cast off around the collar the cardigan is a comfort fit with generous balloon sleeves mirroring the pattern from the body.

Difficulty
Working from top down using make one left and right to create the raglan sleeve and front increases. The cardigan is knitted in knit and purl stitches and a fully described i-cord bind off.
